چکیده

Pathogenicity and anastomosis groups of seven Rhizoctonia-like isolates obtained from infected pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) seedlings were determined, in the central district Siirt province at Southeast Anatolia Region Turkey. Browning on crown root collected saplings drying plants observed. In pathogenicity test, most virulent isolate was Rs2 with a disease severity 93.75%. The group this isolate, which caused to dry completely determined as Rhizoctonia solani AG-4. moderately Rs3 Rs1 binucleate AG-F group. These two yellowing seedling leaves browning roots, however, did not die preserved their vitality certain extent. R9 R14 identified cause any symptoms inoculated negative control. Rs7 Rs10 AG-4 be pathogenic saplings. results study are first record for virulence species that diseases pistachio.

Drying Kinetics of Pistachio Nuts (Pistacia vera L.)

The effect of different air temperatures (40, 50, 60 and 70°C), air velocities (1 and 2 m/s) and bed depth (monolayer, 3 and 5 cm) on drying kinetics and lipid quality (peroxide value and free fatty acids) of a variety of Persian Pistachio nuts (Abasali variety) were studied. Additionally, effective diffusivity (D ) was determined eff by using Fick’s second law varied from 7.061×10 to 2.105×10 ...

Alternate bearing and the possible role of carbohydrates in bud abscission of pistachio (Pistacia vera L.)

Pistachio produces an abundant number of inflorescent buds every year (during spring and early summer) which abscise mainly on fruiting branches during seed development. Competition of the developing ovaries/seeds with inflorescent buds for nutrients was suggested as being primarily responsible for bud abscission. Although leaf N correlated with bud retention, foliar application of N did not re...
